Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a key technique within Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), involving the gentle insertion of fine needles into specific points on the body to stimulate its natural healing response.
It’s a time-tested therapy widely used to support wellness and restore balance in the following areas:

Pain Management
Acupuncture can help treat a variety of pain conditions by promoting circulation, reducing inflammation.
-Musculoskeletal Pain
-Nerve Pain

Women's Health
TCM offers a natural, holistic way to navigate and restore balance at every stage of a woman’s life
-Menstrual Health
-Fertility Support
-Pregnancy
-Postnatal Care
-Perimenopause
-Menopause

Pediatric
Pediatric acupuncture (often using non-needle techniques like acupressure) can help with:
-Digestive issues
-Sleep problems
-Low immunity/ frequent illnesses
-Urinary issues

Digestive Health

The digestive system is seen as central to overall health in TCM—when digestion is strong, the body is better able to heal and function properly.
- Bloating and gas
- Constipation or diarrhea
- Acid reflux and heartburn
- Nausea and poor appetite
Mental Health
Acupuncture can regulate nervous system. It can help manage a wide range of stress-related issues, both physical and emotional, by promoting relaxation, improving circulation, balancing hormones, and calming the mind.
-Anxiety
-Insomia
Many other conditions
TCM can treat a wide range of conditions not because it targets each disease individually, but because it focuses on restoring balance and supporting the body's natural healing systems.
What to Expect in an Acupuncture Session
Whether it’s your first time or you’re returning for continued wellness, here’s what you can expect:
1. A Warm Welcome & Intake
We begin with a calm, supportive conversation about your health, lifestyle, and goals. You'll share any concerns—whether it's pain, stress, sleep issues, digestion, or emotional well-being.
This intake helps me understand your body’s patterns and create a personalized treatment plan rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
2. Treatment
Once you're comfortable on the treatment table, ultra-fine, sterile needles are gently inserted into specific acupuncture points. These points activate your body’s natural healing systems, promoting circulation, and balance. Depending on the condition, some other techniques may be incorporated - tuina (TCM massage technique), fire cupping, guasha, and gentle electro stimulation.
Most people feel little to no discomfort—many describe it as a calming, even meditative experience.

3. Relaxation & Healing Time
You’ll rest for about 20 minutes while the needles do their work. This is your time to relax deeply—many clients feel a sense of peaceful stillness or even fall asleep.

4. Closing & Support
After removing the needles, we’ll check in on how you’re feeling. I may offer insights, self-care tips, or dietary/lifestyle suggestions so you can continue your healing journey beyond the treatment room.

After Your Session
You may feel:
-
Relaxed and lighter
-
Improved sleep that night
-
Gradual relief from symptoms in the following days
Each session builds on the last, so a series of treatments is often recommended for lasting results.
